Is a reLink Medical warehouse auction right for me?

When it comes to buying, reLink Medical gives you options. reLink Medical uses a proprietary Multi-Listing Service™ (MLS) which utilizes a professional sales force, web platforms and event auctions allowing you to choose your preferred buying channel. Our warehouse liquidation auctions give you the opportunity to get great deals on pre-owned, as-is medical devices ideal for: dealers, refurbishers, part suppliers, and international buyers. If you are looking for a specific make and model of device, larger fixed imaging equipment, newer equipment or equipment sold with warranties, or to inquire if auction is the right channel for you contact us at 216.762.0588 or info@relinkmedical.com

What does it mean that your warehouse auctions are powered by BidMed?

reLink Medical has selected BidMed as the technology platform and marketing partner for it’s warehouse auctions due to BidMed’s deep experience in selling pre-owned medical equipment via online timed auctions. This means buyers will need to be logged into the reLink Medical event on BidMed’s system to place bids. BidMed will also handle all invoicing and collections from winning bidders as they do for all auctions they hold. Click here to register for reLink’s auction on the BidMed bidding platform.

What is the advantage of doing timed online event auctions?
reLink buyers are spread across multiple locations and time zones so the predictability and ease of timed auctions make it easier for all locations to participate in our auction. Additionally, this format allows bidders to create watch lists, monitor multiple products and lots simultaneously, and know the precise closing time for every lot.
How do I register for the auction and get an account to bid?

Click here to register for the auction and create a user ID and password on the BidMed platform.

How do I view inventory on the BidMed platform?

Users must be registered in order to view inventory. Inventory will be sorted by lot number, and there are numerous search capabilities for finding equipment you are interested in, including product category, lot number, and by item name. The number of items viewable on the page can also be adjusted. If you are having problems searching for a specific item, you can view the digital catalog or contact auctionsupport@relinkmedical.com.

How do I create a watch list?
The watch list feature allows users to create a list of all the items they are interested in following. Users can add items to their watch list prior to and during the auction by clicking on the button with an eye symbol.

This feature allows users to keep an eye on all their items in the same place, which is especially useful towards the close of the auction. Users can avoid flipping through pages by consolidating all the items they want to watch/bid on in one place.

Additionally, users can place bids on the overview watch list page, allowing them to continue to watch all items while bidding on individual items.

How do I place a bid on the BidMed Platform?

When placing a bid, you will enter the maximum amount you’re willing to pay for an item; this maximum bid remains hidden and is never revealed.

BidMed then places bids on your behalf using the automatic bid increment amount (based on the current high bid), only increasing your bid as necessary to maintain the highest bid or meet the reserve price, up to your maximum amount.

If another buyer places an equal or higher maximum bid, we will notify you by e-mail so you can place another bid. Maximum bids remain confidential until exceeded by another buyer.

How does the auction end time work?
Categories of equipment, in alphabetical order, will begin closing at 4pm EST, and each category of equipment will close in 5-minute increments, until all categories are closed.

Within equipment categories, if an item is bid on in the last 5 minutes, prior to the category closing, time will extend another 5 minutes for that particular item. The auction time for the item will continue to extend in increments of 5 minutes until bidding activity ceases for a 5-minute period.

If an item(s) within a category remains open due to continuous bidding at the end, the platform will close the remaining items in that category, and move on to the next category.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cashier’s check, wire transfer, credit card, and PayPal. Credit card and PayPal payments incur a 3% processing fee.
If I win, how do I pay?
Payment is due by March 2nd, 2018 by 6pm EST. Equipment must be paid in full before it can be picked up. Additional payment instructions will be sent to all winning bidders immediately following the auction.
How long do I have to pay for the equipment I win during auction?
All payments must be received by 6PM Eastern Standard Time on March 2nd, 2018. Any items not paid for by that time are considered forfeited and will be resold by reLink.
When and where can I pick up my equipment?
An email will be sent to all winning bidders with pickup instructions, required documentation, and how to reserve loading dock slots. Arrange pickups at reLink’s warehouse Monday – Friday, February 28 – March 9, 2018 between the hours of 8AM – 4PM EST:
